Edinburgh residents have seen many nightclubs come and go over the years, but there are certain ones that they miss more than others. Edinburgh’s nightlife has changed a lot over the years and it got our readers sharing fond memories of their clubbing days.
We asked which nightclub they would bring back if they could and, with around 3,000 comments, it was definitely a talking point. Here are just 12 of the venues where residents would love to have one last dance.
9. Wilkie House

10. Red Hot Pepper Club
The Red Hot Pepper Club was a favourite among Edinburgh club goers, with many having named it as the venue they'd like to see return to the Capital. 11. Subway
Subway West End was named by many of our readers as one of their favourite clubs in the city. The Lothian Road nightclub later changed its name to Club Tropicana. 12. Fire Island
Fire Island has also gone down in the history books as one of the best places for a night out in Edinburgh back in the day. Nowadays, the Princes Street venue houses a Waterstones but in years gone by, it was home to Fire Island night club. The exotically-named venue is widely recognised as Edinburgh's first regular gay club. Memories of the club seem to centre around the music which was described by readers as "amazing".
